Career

Adalberto concentrates his practice on federal income tax and international tax, including cross-border M&A and joint ventures, in-bound investments into Mexico, as well as structuring and implementation of collective investment vehicles (such as private equity funds) managed by Mexican and foreign sponsors. Adalberto also has solid experience in advising his clients on issuances in the local securities market, particularly in the case of CKDs, ETFs, and trusts for investments in real estate (FIBRAs) and in energy and infrastructure projects (Fibra-E).

Education

He worked for more than 14 years at a prestigious tax firm in Mexico and as a foreign associate with Loyens & Loeff. Adalberto graduated as an attorney from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico with honors, and he has also attended various courses on international taxation, including Sheltons-SITTI´s courses on international taxation and an Advanced Seminar on the Interpretation and Application of the Tax Academy of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD).

Adalberto Valadez oversees the practice group, drawing on more than two decades’ experience assisting public entities and private companies with the federal tax implications of their operations; he focuses primarily on federal income tax and international tax. Ana Paula Pardo is the key contact for audits but also acts in estate management and transfer pricing matters; she is supported on all audits by associate Monserrat Reséndiz, who joined from ZG Manuel Tron Consultores in April 2022.
