His career began in Vergara y Cía. where he worked for 17 years as an associate and subsequently as a partner, specializing in mining, water and energy law. In 2013 he joined VGC Abogados as a partner.

He is a professor of mining law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In 2006 he implemented the chair of natural resources that he still teaches to this day. In addition, he is a professor of the LLM of the same university and Director of the Mining and Water Master Programs of the Universidad Finis Terrae.

He has been distinguished for his achievements as a Leading Individual in Chambers and Partners Latin America for the Energy and Natural Resources categories and in Who´s Who Legal as an expert in mining and water law.

He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
