Mame is a Senior Associate with GENI & KEBE, a full-service commercial law firm providing legal services in sub-Saharan Africa and a member firm of DLA Piper Africa.

She leads the Financial Services, Finance & Projects team. Mame works with foreign investors to ensure that they understand the legal requirements and opportunities in their corporate transactions.

She oversees complex advice legal due diligence, banking sector and regulatory compliance transactions and assists clients to navigate the investment laws in Senegal, including with major projects and cross-border financing arrangements.

She has been seconded to major law firms in London including Dentons and at the DLA London Office.

Ms Sow is an alumni of the International Lawyers Law Firms for Africa (ILFA) program.

◼             Advising and representing BPIAE and Santander for the financing of new Airbus A330-900neos (MSN 1923 & 1910) purchased by Air Senegal

◼             Advising and representing Airbus and Santander for the financing of a new A330-900 for Air Senegal

◼             Airbus A330-900neos (MSN 1923 & 1910) purchased by Air Senegal

◼             Assisting an International Private Bank with its Offshore Wealth Services (OWS) to draft their Conduct Rules for Senegal.

◼             Developing a “Country Manuals” for international banks with respect to Senegalese and WAEMU banking regulations in its strategic cross-border project.

◼             Advising Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited  (ICBC) on a hedging arragement in Senegal.

◼             Acting for Lenders on swaps transactions (Cross currency and interest rate swaps).

◼             Advising the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector on extension of global lines of credit (Islamic finance) to banks or leasing companies operating in Chad, Cameroun, Gabon and Senegal.

◼             Acting for Standard Chartered Bank on its USD 400 million loan transaction with a Senegalese telecommunications company.

◼             Advising Cairn Energy with joint venture partners FAR, Conoco Philips and later Woodside on Senegal’s firt off-shore oil discovery.

◼             Acting for Dangote Cement in its 170 million syndicated loan facility from Ecobank and UBA.
