The ‘hardworking‘ six-member team at Urenda, Rencoret, Orrego y Dörr has ‘extensive knowledge of competition law in Chile‘. The group assists with merger control assessments and notifications, along with investigations, commercial agreements, and distribution policies and strategies; it also advises on the implementation of compliance programmes, and fields experts in international unfair competition matters, such as anti-dumping and safeguard cases. Gonzalo Rencoret, who assists with merger control, Competition Court procedures, and alleged collusive behaviour and abuse of dominance investigations; and Nicholas Mocarquer, who has ‘excellent analytical skills‘, co-lead the practice. Urenda, Rencoret, Orrego y Dörr‘s 22-member corporate and M&A department has substantial experience in M&A transactions, shareholder agreements, joint ventures and corporate restructurings; the team also provides major local and international companies with general corporate assistance on an ongoing basis. Additionally, the firm is the Chilean member firm of the Multilaw and World Law Group international networks. The practice is co-led by Gonzalo Rencoret, who recently counselled Petroquimica Dow on a high-profile merger; Nicholas Mocarquer, who handles M&A, shareholder agreements, public tender offers and joint ventures; and corporate/M&A, banking and finance and capital markets specialist, Rodrigo de Alencar.
