The six-member department at Urenda, Rencoret, Orrego y Dörr‘s consistently advises on the implementation (including training) of internal corporate policies and codes, particularly in relation to anti-corruption, competition, data protection, securities, and labour and environmental law compliance. The team also assists with internal compliance-related reviews; and assists the firm’s international clients (on an ongoing basis) with adapting their FCPA and UK Bribery Act compliance programmes to Chilean requirements. The practice is co-led by labour law-related compliance specialist Alberto RencoretNicholas Mocarquer, whose experience includes compliance-related anti-corruption, competition and data protection matters; and Ignacio Urrutia, an environmental law compliance expert.

Urenda, Rencoret, Orrego y Dörr‘s four-member group focuses on general labour advisory consultancy, social security and immigration matters. Additional specialisms include collective bargaining processes, due diligence procedures, and litigation before the labour courts and administrative entities. Recent highlights include advising Legal Publishing Chile on a collective bargaining process with its union. The labour and employment practice is led by name partner Alberto Rencoret, who acts for both national and international clients. Former senior associate Sebastián Merino left to found ZM Consultores Laborales in March 2022.

The four-strong team at Urenda, Rencoret, Orrego y Dörr assists a substantial client roster on data protection matters, including related labour issues. The team is also active in relation to GDPR work, including the implementation of data privacy policies and their interplay with Chile’s data protection regulations. Alberto Rencoret, who routinely assists with labour-related data protection matters, co-leads the practice with Nicholas Mocarquer, who is experienced in assisting international clients with their data privacy policies.
