The six-member team at Urenda, Rencoret, Orrego y Dörr‘s mining department advises local and overseas clients on major projects from their early stages, including obtaining permits, mining title reviews, purchase options, financing, joint ventures, exploration matters, and royalty, streaming and easement agreements. The group can also draw upon the expertise of the firms specialists in environmental, labour and tax matters, as well as litigation, for its mining projects. A former foreign lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP‘s New York office, practice head Sergio Orrego has longstanding experience in mining, projects, corporate, M&A and energy and natural resources work; and fellow name partner Gonzalo Rencoret‘s track record includes advising on significant mining projects. At associate level, Verónica Roa regularly advises on exploration, option and joint venture agreements, while Javiera Vicuña assists with water, energy, mining and corporate matters.
