The group’s representative expertise covers mining title reviews, as well as the negotiation of agreements (such as purchase options), financings, joint ventures, explorations, royalties, streaming and easements. It also assists with reviewing titles to water rights, obtaining permits, and reclamation actions. The practice is led by Sergio Orrego, who assists with a broad range of mining transactions, while fellow name partner Gonzalo Rencoret regularly advises on mining projects. The next line of active practitioners features Rafael Rencoret (promoted to partner in January 2023), who maintains an active mining practice; while at associate level, Verónica Roa routinely drafts complex mining agreements and Javiera Vicuña advises on mining, water, energy, and corporate law matters.
