Career
Practices since 1994. He works in SUCRE | ARIAS | REYES since 1996, as a legal professional in different departments, such as finance, government procedures, corporate law, litigation and labor law. He currently serves as the partner in charge of the firm’s Inmigration and Labor Department.
He has been licensed as an authorized public translator from Spanish to English and vice versa since 1999. He was appointed as representative of the employers’ sector before the Juntas de Conciliación y Decisión del Ministerio de Trabajo y Desarrollo Laboral (Conciliation and Decision Boards of the Ministry of Labor) from July to September 2001, and he is licensed to practice as a real estate broker since 2009.
In recent years he has specialized in advising important clients, as well as national and multinational companies, in their governmental procedures, before the Technical Secretariat of SEM (Headquarters of Multinational Companies), before the Servicio Nacional de Migración (Migration Authority), and labor issues.
He has contributed as an advisor to the World Bank regarding the annual report Doing Business during the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, and was selected to be arbitrator, in labor affairs, of the Autoridad del Canal de Panamá (ACP), by the ACP Labor Relations Board, from September 2019 to date.
