Career

Stuart is Counsel within the Corporate department in the British Virgin Islands.

His practice areas include corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and services, data protection, corporate finance and general corporate and commercial matters.

Stuart has broad corporate law experience including advising on a range of cross border transactions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, disposals, corporate finance transactions and restructurings in the energy, technology, hospitality and marine sectors in addition to providing general corporate law advice. Stuart has also acted for large multi-national corporations, listed entities, management teams and a number of investors including pension funds in relation to their investment in to global investment funds.

Prior to joining Appleby, Stuart was an associate in the Corporate team of Clyde & Co LLP. Stuart trained at Charles Russell LLP (now Charles Russell Speechlys LLP).
