Position

Claude’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation, class actions, and product liability. He has appeared before the courts of all levels in Québec, the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He is involved in commercial arbitrations and has appeared before various administrative tribunals. He represents a wide range of clients including pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers, financial institutions, franchisors, telecommunications companies, and public bodies.

 

Career

In 2018, the Barreau du Québec granted Claude the title of Advocatus Emeritus (Ad. E.) for his exceptional contribution to the practice of law.

 

Memberships

Claude has been actively involved in leadership roles of the Canadian Bar Association, the Barreau du Québec, the Barreau de Montréal, the International Association of Young Lawyers, and the Young Bar of Montreal. Claude is a governor for life of the Quebec Bar Foundation.

Personal

Claude has taught the Law of Evidence at Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Law, and Civil Liability and Advocacy at the Quebec Bar School. He has authored a number of books, articles and book chapters on Class Actions and the Law of Evidence.
