Career

Andréa specializes in civil litigation, arbitration, and court restructuring, as well as in alternative dispute resolution and litigation prevention. She offers strategic consulting on all types of civil and commercial matters, especially in relation to shipping, aviation, cruise ships, automotive, banking, civil construction, e-commerce, and energy law. She is currently a partner at Almeida Advogados, where she has been working since 2003.

Memberships

Andréa is a member of the Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil (São Paulo), a member of the Permanent Commission on Arbitration Studies (IASP), and a member of the Lawyers Institute of São Paulo (IASP).

She is also a member of the Legal Committee of Eletronic Commerce Chamber (Camara E-net). She has written the book “Direito Ao Esquecimento e a Normativa Europeia e Brasileira de Proteção de Dados. Constituição & Direitos sob o prisma dos Mecanismos de Proteção e Efetividade”, published in both Brazil and Portugal. She has also written the essay “Reflexões sobre o Tribunal Constitucional: De Legislador Negativo a Positivo?”, which was also published.

Education

Andréa holds an LL.B (2000) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and an LL.M in Legal Sciences/Commercial Law (2023) from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL). She also holds a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedural Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP).
