Agathe Soilleux is a Corporate partner at Weil Gotshal & Manges. She acts on a wide variety of corporate transactions, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions involving public companies. Her practice also focuses on corporate reorganizations (including spin-offs and carve-outs) as well as capital market and securities regulations matters. Agathe Soilleux has been involved in numerous cash and exchange tender offers, both friendly and unsolicited. She also advises companies on corporate and governance issues.

Agathe Soilleux graduated from the French business school Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC Paris) in 1994, and in 1996, she graduated with a Master of Law from the University of Paris II – Panthéon Assas. She has been admitted to the Paris Bar since 1997.

Active in the upper mid-cap and large-cap segments of the market, the department has a comprehensive offering which includes securities regulations, public takeovers, anti-takeover defences, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations. Corporate restructurings have been an area of recent growth, in particular for listed clients. Cross-border work is also handled. Senior partner Claude Serra leads the practice, and as well as being an experienced M&A specialist, litigates on a range of corporate matters. He is assisted by Benjamin de Blegiers, Yannick Piette and Agathe Soilleux. Arthur de Baudry d’Asson left to join Paul Hastings LLP in September 2020.

Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP assiste plusieurs grandes sociétés françaises cotées en bourse ; cependant le spectre d’intervention du cabinet couvre aussi bien les transactions cotées que non cotées. L’équipe est particulièrement active sur les segments allant du upper mid-cap au large-cap. Elle traite aussi des problématiques boursières et intervient lors d’OPA, d’opérations de partenariat et dans des réorganisations d’entreprises – dernier domaine dans lequel la pratique a été particulièrement sollicitée ces derniers temps relativement à des entreprises cotées. Le cabinet est enfin compétent pour gérer des opérations de dimension internationale. A la tête de la pratique, le très renommé  Claude Serra intervient en conseil et en contentieux.
