David became a partner in our Human Resources Group in August 2009. He was previously at Eversheds between 1985 and 2002 and has specialised in employment law for over 20 years.

His recent experience includes: acting for a Global 500 client defending multiple claims for unfair dismissal, protective award and discrimination claims; advising on the employment issues arising from the closure of defined benefit pension schemes to future accrual for existing employees in relation to various companies in the financial services, pharmaceutical and engineering sectors; and negotiating employment terms on 30 year commercial NHS contracts for a FTSE 100 client using the "Retention of Employment Model" and other secondment based commercial agreements.

According to Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession 2009 "David is the best employment lawyer around" and is the only employment lawyer in the West Midlands to be awarded a "Star Individual" ranking.

David is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and Birmingham Forward. He is also qualified as a CEDR trained mediator.
