Stephen O’Reilly is a Legal Director who heads our charity law practice; he also advises a number of educational institutions and is a key member of our education team. He advises on all aspects of charity law and has particular expertise in advising charities spinning out of the public sector, the establishment of corporate foundations and charity mergers. Stephen also regularly advises on securing consents from the Charity Commission including in respect of disposals of properties to connected persons and the payment of charity trustees. Stephen regularly advises third parties, including banks, pension funds and corporates, on their relationships with charities and not for profits.
