Jon Cox-Brown is a corporate partner specialising in mergers and acquisitions, fundraisings, joint ventures and restructurings.

Jon acts for a diverse range of clients ranging from large UK and international corporates to institutional investors and successful entrepreneurs.

Recent transactions include acting for Capita on its £412mil offer for Xchanging plc; Experian in relation to a number of strategic transactions including the sale of its global retail intelligence business to Tyco and the sale of its large hosted database business to Sky; BBA Aviation on its US128mil sale of APPH to Heroux-Devtek; Alkane Energy on its £80mil takeover by Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Partners; and the Evans family on the £80mil sale of WR Evans.

Jon has a strong track record in the financial and business services sectors. Examples of his experience include acting for Capital One on the sale of its deposit and bond business to Skipton Building Society; acting for Derbyshire Building Society in relation to the disposal of a deposit bank; acting for Capita on the £50m acquisition of Bluefin Corporate Consulting from AXA, the £32mil sale of National Dental Plan to Unum and the sale of Fish Insurance to PIB.

Jon has significant expertise in international work and is an active member of the Eversheds equity capital markets team.
