Liz is a Partner, specialising in procurement law. She has 21 years' PQE, over 18 years' experience with Eversheds Sutherland and 5 years previous experience in the Public Sector, having trained at Peterborough City Council. Liz advises a wide range of public bodies including Central Government departments, regional and local authorities and other bodies required to follow EU procurement law, national and regional utilities and private sector clients and across many sectors. Liz provides risk based advice on all aspects of procurement law ranging from strategy and structuring, hands on support for procurement processes across a range of complexity, every procedure and at values to £multi-billion, call-off competitions, support on procurement documents and during negotiations, providing assurance/health checks and governance support, support during evaluation/moderation, advice on standstill and support on threatened and formal procurement challenges as well as advice on exempt purchases, Treaty principles procurements and modifications to existing contracts and frameworks. Liz is a trusted advisor, often acting as an extension of / alongside client in-house legal teams, and regular speaker on procurement law and practical issues. Feedback from a recent training session on how to deliver against tender promises included "Liz is very knowledgeable and gave good examples to put points into context", "thought provoking" and "Really useful practical training".
