Career
Álvaro Gasca is a Colombian lawyer from Universidad de los Andes. He holds a post-graduate degree in corporate finance and in energy mining law and sustainable development. He is member of Durán & Osorio Abogados since 2010 and became partner in 2015.
Mr. Gasca has advised the public and private clients in the structuring and implementation of road and specialized urban transportation infrastructure projects. Also, he has acquired an outstanding experience in social and urban infrastructure projects, as he has been a key member of the legal advisory for PPP projects in schools and airports facilities.
Álvaro has led the legal advisor in important infrastructure projects by either PPP or public utilities contracts being relevant the contract of Regiotram de Occidente, the structure of a PPP the new Bosa Hospital, the First Metro Line in Bogotá. Also, he advised companies listed in the Colombian stock exchange market and in the debt arrangement for PPP projects.
Currently, Álvaro is one of the leading members of the team structuring the suburban train in Cundinamarca -Regiotram del Norte- and the PPP scheme for the Dorada–Chiriguaná railway.
