25 years of experience in the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice advising on an everyday basis multinational clientele in different sectors of the economy, including several listed companies in North America, Europe and Latin America. Moreover, she is the undisputed market leader in insurance, with 25 years heading up the firm’s insurance and reinsurance practice.

Member of the Attorneys Commission of the Uruguayan Association of Insurance Companies (AUDEA); Director of the local chapter of the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances; professor of the Graduate Program in Insurance Law recognized by Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay) and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Chile).

Author of two books on regulation, Curso de Derecho de Seguros (Insurance Law Course, 2006) and El Seguro de Vida (Life Insurance, 2008). She is also the author of several papers and articles on insurance and reinsurance and regularly participates as a panelist on insurance and reinsurance issues at local and international conferences.

The large corporate and M&A practice at Ferrere is composed of ten partners, three counsels and 59 associates, whose wide range of specialisations allows ‘a comprehensive approach to each case’. It counsels both buyers and sellers in acquisitions and offers corporate guidance to multinationals in the tech, construction and finance sectors. Martín Cerruti heads the team and assists foreign multinationals with major M&A deals.
