Partner of Demarest’s Tax area, Katia Zambrano Mazloum holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from FMU-SP and a specialization in Tax Law from PUC-SP. She has a strong focus in Tax Litigation, especially in the federal sphere, concentrating her practice on direct taxes, elaboration of procedural documents and defense of the interests of companies in several segments. She conducts business consultations involving the issuance of legal positions and opinions and the development of new arguments. She also presents procedural alternatives, acting in strategic cases of companies, as well as guidelines resulting from adhesions to tax amnesties programs and alternatives for the use of tax credits. Katia acts in the coordination of Due Diligence Audits in merger and acquisition operations, aimed at the determination of contingencies and potential credits arising from litigation of a tax nature, as well as Mapping and Management of Corporate Tax Litigation.
