René provides legal assistance related to corporate law under complex transactions involving local and international finance institutions, latin america’s top 100 companies and private equity and venture capital funds. On this regard, René’s track-record includes legal assistance to sellers and buyers on domestic, crossborder and multijurisdictional M&A transactions, private equity investments and joint-ventures on the most diversified industries, such as media, energy renewable, financing, aviation, agribusiness and tech companies. Besides his large experience on M&A, Private Equity and Capital Markets, René is also known for being one of the firm’s partners who most deal with publicly-held companies. With acknowledged practice in cases involving publicly-held companies, René assists the firm’s clients before regulatory bodies, especially the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). In this field, René has not only managed the structuring of capital markets transactions involving equity and debt convertible instruments, but also privately-held companies which intended to go public. In addition, René advises firm’s clients in the register of tender offers before Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and represents, on daily basis, publicly-held companies, shareholders and managers and other supervised institutions in administrative procedures before Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and the Appeal Council of the National Financial System (CRSFN) in the administrative defenses and the negotiation of terms of commitment. Being a polymath and with a unique capability to create effective and inventive solutions, René has a solid and extensive trackrecord and is responsible for bringing a relevant number of the firm’s regular clients
