Anna Carolina Malta Spilborghs is a partner in two of BMA’s practice areas: Compliance, Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement, and Financial and Capital Markets. She advises companies and their boards of directors and independent committees on matters related to compliance, anticorruption and crisis management. She also advises Brazilian and international clients, particularly companies, financial institutions, investment funds and asset management firms, on matters concerning Brazil’s financial and capital markets, and on issues related to the application of anti-money laundering legislation and reviews of internal controls.

Aligned with a solid global strategy of risk mitigation, Anna is also directly involved in compliance matters, advising both national and international clients on the conduct of corporate investigations (anticorruption, internal fraud and, in conjunction with other practice areas, investigations into harassment, cybercrimes and ESG), due diligence procedures, identification and management of risks in corporate, financial and securities transactions, legal opinions, and design and implementation of compliance programs, including ESG issues.
