Alacoque specialises in working with clients on all aspects of employment law, including advising on policies and procedures, employment contracts, settlement agreements and the defence of tribunal claims.
Alacoque also advises on redundancy and restructure projects and on TUPE transfers, including the requirements of collective consultation.
She has a particular interest in discrimination law and equality issues, having considerable experience of the realities of managing staff and resources within the education and public sectors.
Alacoque gained an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. Following a successful career as a teacher and faculty leader in an outstanding secondary school she retrained as a solicitor in 2013. Alacoque joined Wrigleys as part of for her training contract and qualified into the employment team in 2015.
Alacoque is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Industrial Law Society and the Charity Law Association.
Wrigleys Solicitors LLP is particularly strong within the charities, landed estates and pensions sectors. The team handles a high volume of employment tribunal cases and handles the full spectrum of issues, ranging from unfair dismissal and TUPE disputes to National Minimum Wage and social media conduct. Sue King is the main contact for charities and independent schools work and is ably supported by Alacoque Marvin who has particular expertise in advising on equality issues within the workplace.
