Andrew has been ranked in the top tier of Legal 500 for approximately 15 years.

Andrew is highly respected for his academic approach to family law.  In November 2017 he was awarded Family Law Commentator of the Year the national Family Law Awards.

Andrew writes three of the leading family law columns for the Law Society Gazette, Jordans Family Law and the Resolution Review.  He continues to write three chapters on financial remedy work for the leading family law textbook, Butterworths Family Law Service.  The book is updated several times a year.  Andrew also lectures regularly on family law issues, including the update lecture at the Resolution National Conference. He has written several texbooks.

Andrew is only one of three solicitors in Manchester who is a Fellow of the prestigious International Academy of Family Lawyers.  He specialises in family work with jurisdictional issues and in the last year has advised on cases involving the United States, Israel, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, the Netherlands and Spain.

In the last year Andrew has conducted several complex cases involving assets in the region of £30million to £50million.

Best Lawyers selected Andrew as Manchester Family Lawyer of the Year for 2018.

Andrew has 27 years of experience dealing with complex financial settlements on divorce, usually involving family businesses, international issues and family trusts.  In the last year, he has acted for well-known television actors and sportsmen.
