Position

Rachel is a solicitor and former Managing Director of Hugh Jones Solicitors before her retirement from that post in April 2022, having worked with founder Hugh Jones and Finance Director Jon Miller, to set up the firm in 2013.

She is now a Consultant Director, advising the Board and the firm’s management team and retains responsibility as Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Money Laundering Reporting officer, working closely with Jenny Roberts.  Rachel has over 20 years’ experience of law firm operational management, HR and compliance.

As a Director of the Hugh Jones Trust Corporation, Rachel has had experience as Finance and Property Deputy, with a particular interest in clients living with dementia.

Rachel was previously been a partner with Hugh at Pannone LLP for many years, where she was head of Operations, responsible for HR, Compliance, Regulation and IT – she was Director of HR for the seven year period when Pannone was the highest placed law firm in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to work for.

Rachel joined Pannone in 1992 as a trainee solicitor, having previously worked in commercial management with Marks and Spencer, following her graduation from St Hugh’s College, Oxford with an MA (Hons) in Modern History.
