Career

  • Christina is a Solicitor and Partner. Christina has specialised exclusively in divorce and family law for over 15 years.
  • Christina joined FM Family Law in 2014, being the first to join the firm after being set up by Fiona McLeman in 2011.
  • Christina has always worked in Cambridge and her early career experiences gave her a very thorough understanding of the family court in Cambridge. Christina worked for a legal aid firm in the days when legal aid was widely available in divorce cases. She cut my teeth as an advocate as a then junior and it has stood her in great stead for today. Christina is proud to be able to represent clients in court and she undertakes her own advocacy.
  • Christina receives personal recommendations, especially from local lawyers, both as a lawyer and as a mediator.
  • Christina’s clients would say that they find her to be sensitive and compassionate. Christina likes helping clients to see the big picture, and help them cut through the woods to see the trees. Christina firmly believe in offering value for money.

Sue Bailey – FM Family Law

FM Family Law, which climbs the ranking, was established 12 years ago and has expanded significantly since then. It now boasts nine lawyers, making it the largest niche family law practice in East Anglia, and has opened a new office in Newmarket to provide local services in Suffolk, as well as in Cambridge and Norwich. ‘The practice is extremely efficient, thorough and professional‘, remarks one client. The lead partner in Cambridge and Newmarket is Fiona McLeman. In Norwich, Sue Bailey leads the team, which includes associates Laura Clay-Harris and ‘efficient, friendly and kind’ Karen Fox. Their work encompasses cases involving assets located overseas, high-net-worth individuals, complex tax considerations, trusts, and business interests.
