Position

Philip is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Team, specialising in all aspects of corporate law as well as partnership and commercial matters. He has particular experience in dealing with mergers, acquisitions and disposals in various sectors, joint ventures and shareholders’ agreements and advising on corporate restructurings.

Recent experience includes:

  • Leading on the acquisition by a client of the business and assets of an agricultural machinery supplier, for a consideration of £2.5m.

 

  • Leading on the acquisition by a Chinese listed technology company of a majority stake in a precision engineering company based in Cricklade, Wilts, for £4m and a related purchase of a research and development facility in Swindon for £1m.

 

  • Advising on the acquisition by management shareholders of the minority stake in a printed fabric making company for a total deal value of £8m.

 

  • Leading on the sale of a quarry company to a competitor for a total maximum purchase price of £5.5m.

 

  • Advising multi-national companies in respect of UK Company and commercial law requirements.

Career

Trained and Qualified at K&L Gates in the City in 2006;  moved to Forsters in 2010; joined Wansbroughs 2013 and Partner 2017.

In addition, Philip is a qualified executive coach, having attained the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School in 2021.
