The growing private client team at Wansbroughs covers a wide range of matters, including complex tax planning for landed estates, inheritance tax planning, and the administration of trusts. Although based in Wiltshire, the team attracts clients from across the South West and London. Alan Ciechan heads up the team from the office in Devizes, and in May 2019 both Kathryn Smith Cowap and Jennifer Vooght were made up to partner.

Wansbroughs, a leading law firm in central Wiltshire, is a modern commercial practice with a national footprint. Wansbroughs has developed a strong client base and established a reputation for conducting work more commonly associated with much larger practices. Originally, the firm was part of Wansbroughs in Bristol. It has been independent since 1989 and has grown rapidly since then to around 90 staff and 18 partners.

Commercial property: the team has in-depth expertise in a wide range of areas and can assist with all your commercial property requirements including sales, purchases, landlord and tenant matters, agricultural property matters and development work.
Residential property: the team deals with a very broad range of matters, from leasehold flats to landed estates; from city-based landlord and tenant work to rural property issues.
Family: the firm has an experienced team of specialist family lawyers including a collaborative law practitioner, children panel member and an agricultural family finance specialist. We minimise business travel wherever possible and use phone calls and conferences where appropriate. Staff who are required to travel for their role are also provided with the facilities to work remotely.
