Partner in the family law team. Vandana joined Royds in March 2013 after starting and heading a family law department at a long established and highly reputable regional firm. Vandana advises on all aspects of family law as part of a specialist family team who are able to offer expert solutions to issues arising for individuals and families. Vandana deals prominently with a range of financial disputes arising from the breakdown of a marriage/civil partnership or relationship. Often those disputes may involve complex assets, trusts, tax, company and jurisdictional issues. Vandana also drafts marital and cohabitation agreements and deals with inheritance disputes and private children work which, again, may involve complex jurisdictional and legal issues. Vandana deals with cases from the point of instruction to conclusion of the matter through negotiation or representation at Court should that become necessary. Vandana’s clients consider her to be reliable and efficient and appreciate the provision of realistic and cost effective advice. Vandana represents a range of individuals.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
