Career

David leads our Planning and Pipelines teams in our Bristol office.

David can advise on the whole range of planning law and property development issues you might encounter from judicial review, planning agreements, highways agreements, planning applications and appeals, environmental issues, applications for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP), planning objections, compulsory purchase (CPO) etc. He acts for local authorities, pipeline operators, government departments, landowners and developers.

David has worked in the commercial property sector since 2003 with a current focus on property development, infrastructure (especially cross-country pipelines), and complex challenges (such as judicial review). He has experience in a wide range of dispute resolution procedures from the High Court to mediation. He acts for pipeline operators accounting for more than half of the UK’s cross-country oil pipeline network (>3,100km).
