Career

Louise is head of the Family and Divorce team with over 26 years expertise in Family Law. She joined the TSP Family and Divorce department in May 2022, having held previous Partner and Head of Department roles. Louise is the Director of Louise Margiotta Ltd, a corporate partner in Thompson Smith and Puxon. She advises clients across Essex and London.

Louise is a Resolution Accredited Specialist (Advanced Financial Provision & Advocacy). She is also on the Law Society Advanced panel (Violence in the home) and a former member of the Children panel. Louise is a Resolution trained Mediator, Collaborative Lawyer and a Parenting co-ordinator.

Louise specialises in complex financial issues including company, family businesses, trusts and complex children’s issues including relocation and child protection.

Louise is committed to minimising the acrimony of breaking up and to help families make informed decisions and achieve family focused outcomes in a constructive and non-confrontational way. Children are at the centre of her approach at all times.
