Olaf Gillert  is head of the German and international practice group Trademarks, Advertising and Design. The triple award “European Trade Mark Firm of the Year” (2016, 2019 and 2023) as well as “German Trade Mark Firm of the Year” (2024) for Taylor Wessing under his leadership illustrates his expertise. The protection of trademarks is Olaf’s mission: in strategic advice as well as in litigation. He handles worldwide disputes and supervises trademarks and new product launches – including the related issues of design, copyright and competition law. In addition to his legal advice, Olaf is also intensively involved with the International Trademark Association (INTA), for example as co-founder of the Adjunct Professors Group and as a speaker.

For 17 years, Olaf has been a lecturer at the University of Witten Herdecke, passing on his knowledge to students.
