Jack has a diverse, interesting, and wide-ranging practice.
He often acts for banks in high value and complicated recovery proceedings as well as defends banks for various causes of action arising from banking operations and transactions. He also acts for liquidators and receivers and managers in complex insolvency and restructuring matters.
Additionally, he has experience in civil and commercial disputes covering industries such as manufacturing, construction, consumer and retail, and media.
Further, he has, over the years, advised and defended corporations and individuals prosecuted for statutory offences under, for instance, the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
He has also in recent years added to his areas of practice, defamation and competition.
Jack is a contributor for a number of practitioner guides including Law and Practice of Construction Law in Malaysia, in which he contributed to the chapter on construction insolvency. He was also seen as a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2023 rankings.

Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill’s team is headed by Eunice Wei Lynn Chan. A substantial portion of its workload involves advising on matters of alleged breach of the Competition Act 2010, in addition to acting for Singapore and Malaysia-based clients across the healthcare and oil and gas sectors, atop telecoms, wherein the team has a particular expertise. The practice’s workload involves conducting compliance audits, due diligence, mock dawn raid exercises and handling matters relating to pricing within Malaysia’s complex regulatory regime. Jack S’ng Hoi has experience advising major corporates on the competition law aspects of their Malaysian operations.
