- Acted as local counsel for the buyer, Domino’s Pizza Enterprise, an Australian publicly listed company, in a deal involving Domino’s Pizza Enterprises entering into an agreement with Impress Foods.
- Acted as a lead counsel for AirAsia in its joint venture with Sivilai Asia to establish a new airline, AirAsia Cambodia, which is due to launch in the second half of 2023.
- Acted for the Cambodian arm of Manulife, the Canadian multinational insurance company and financial services provider, in connection with the purchase of a slice of a US$24m bond issue by Royal railway.

The firm: DFDL established a permanent office in Phnom Penh in January 1995, as the first officially authorized foreign investment advisory and tax firm in Cambodia. DFDL is licensed as an investment company by the Council for the Development of Cambodia and the Cambodian Investment Board. We are also registered as a private limited company with the Ministry of Commerce. Under these licenses and registrations, we are permitted to provide business consulting and investment and tax advisory services of an international nature.
On 1 March 2016, DFDL and Sarin & Associates joined forces and established a commercial association and cooperation in order to form a new business transactions platform to serve clients with interests in Cambodia and across the expanding ASEAN marketplace.
Areas of practice: DFDL and Sarin & Associates have successfully worked together for over ten years in Cambodia. Sarin & Associates has long been recognized as a provider of outstanding legal advice, providing advice to companies in Cambodia in numerous sectors such as telecommunications, energy, retail, real estate, financial services, and banking.
Our clients are a mixture of major international and Asian foreign investors in Cambodia including large foreign and Asian financial institutions. We have been involved in major projects in Cambodia including electricity projects, aviation, telecommunications, infrastructure projects, and large real estate projects.

23rd January 2024 DFDL is pleased to announce the integration of the 11-member team of IC Advisors into its regional tax practice.3rd August 2023 Robin Lynn & Lee, a new Malaysian law firm and a DFDL collaborating firm, is pleased to announce its official launch and opening of its office in Kuala Lumpur. The firm is led by three experienced, trailblazing partners: Robin Teow, Hui Lynn Tan, and Bin Hau Lee. They have advised clients from various industries such as financial services, manufacturing, logistics & transportation, education, technology, fintech, e-commerce, healthcare, and more. Robin has been a partner and the Head of China Desk of DFDL since 2016. Both Robin and Bin Hau have worked in major Chinese law firms in Beijing, China before continuing their practice in Malaysia. Hui Lynn was practicing with one of the largest law firms in Malaysia before joining a fintech group as its global general counsel. The firm is established in collaboration with DFDL, a leading international law firm with offices across ASEAN and Bangladesh.
