Position

Paige is a Planning Lawyer with experience acting for both public and private sector clients including private landowners, developers, local authorities, registered providers/housing associations and lenders. Paige’s work includes providing specialist planning advice as part of the transactional team’s work selling and purchasing, negotiating planning and infrastructure agreements, and advising on specialist planning matters such as planning enforcement and appeal strategy.

Paige’s recent experience includes –

  • Carrying out extensive planning due diligence on the acquisition of 93 affordable housing units from a PLC housebuilder on behalf of a registered provider. This includes advising the S.106 Agreement and negotiating a deed of variation with the Council;
  • Assisting a Parish Council with its objection to a planning application which included advising on the legislative and policy framework for self-build units;
  • Assisting developers with S.104 Sewer Agreements, S.38 Highway Adoption Agreements and S.278 Highway Improvement Agreements

Whilst a trainee solicitor at Milton Keynes Council, Paige was recognised for her commitment to her role and awarded Junior Lawyer of the Year 2018 by Lawyers in Local Government.

Paige joined Shoosmiths in 2023 having previously worked in the Planning Team at EMW Law LLP, and before that with the Planning & Highways Team at Milton Keynes Council.
