Career

Shin Kwon Lim is a senior attorney in Kim & Chang’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He specializes in mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments and corporate restructuring.

Since joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Lim has represented a number of multinational corporations and private equity funds on both cross-border and domestic transactions, many of these being the first of their kinds in Korea. Also, he has extensive experience handling intra-group corporate restructuring transactions, including merger, spin-off and comprehensive stock swap.

Mr. Lim is one of the “leading” M&A lawyers in Korea, as recognized by some of the world’s leading legal directories, such as Chambers Global, Chambers Asia-Pacific and Who’s Who Legal: Korea. Since 2016, he has also been recognized as one of the “Leading Lawyers” in Corporate Governance and M&A by LegalTimes, a top legal publication in Korea. He was also awarded “Client Choice Awards: Souht Korea Lawyer of the Year” from Asia law in 2023.
