Paul is a partner in our Real Estate Team. He is a specialist in commercial property and construction law.

Paul has over 30 years’ legal experience advising private businesses, government agencies and public entities on a broad range of property matters. These include all aspects of leasing, property management disputes, ownership structures, design build and lease agreements, ground leases, construction and development agreements. Paul has advised on earthquake prone building issues, including exit policies for clients with large property portfolios, and property related health and safety obligations.

Paul also has considerable experience providing front-end advice on a broad range of construction contracts, associated consultancy agreements and early contractor involvement agreements.

With his particular focus on acting for and advising government agencies, Paul has a deep understanding of the drivers and considerations that apply in that sector, which are often markedly different from those that apply in the private sector.
