Mr. Deepak Gandhi has been in active practice for over four decades. He enjoys a distinguished reputation as an expert criminal defence lawyer. Mr. Gandhi has hands-on experience of dealing with various contentious criminal litigation matters, through their procedural lifecycle, from investigation/trial till appellate stage.

Mr. Gandhi is a noted arguing counsel. He is adept at delivering thorough, well-considered, straightforward advice on legal matters, and to devise legal strategy that is best suited and apt to deal with a particular matter.

He has a deep understanding and experience of dealing with writ petitions, criminal litigation involving white collar crimes and socio-economic offences such as misappropriation/embezzlement of funds, money laundering and corruption, criminal breach of trust, cheating, matters involving narcotics violations, extradition of fugitive criminals, including trial, sentencing, appeals, revisions, and review in such matters.

Till date, Mr. Gandhi has made notable contributions to the field of criminal law and has many reported judgements. He often takes up matters on pro-bono basis, he has many reported judgements on the point where constitutional rights of accused persons and prisoners have been protected and upheld, particularly in cases where accused persons had been subjected to illegal detention, were deprivation of statutory, legal and/or constitutional rights.
