Career
Jose Manuel has more than 18 years’ experience in finance and tax law matters. He has advised domestic and international clients from the oil, industrial, commercial, hotel, service, retail and health industries in relation to important transactions, company restructurings, M&A, tax, as well as labour matters with a financial element.
Jose Manuel’s practice focuses on Internal Revenue Service (SRI) matters, as well as procedures before other tax authorities and control entities such as the Superintendence of Companies and other regularly entities, among others. In addition, he is a proficient accounting and tax expert, accredited by the Judiciary Council of Ecuador.
Jose Manuel started his professional career as an officer of the Internal Revenue Service and for 13 years led the tax team of one of the most important law firms in Ecuador and the region.
