Career

Natalie Ooi Wan Qing is a co-founder of Ooi & Ooi.

She has broad-based commercial litigation experience. In her previous stints with 2 established firms, she routinely handles complex litigation. Her primary area of practice is corporate, real estate planning, land and construction disputes. Natalie was recently empanelled in July 2018 as an Adjudicator with the Asian International Arbitration Centre.

She was involved in election petitions filed following Malaysia’s general election in 2013. She was also part of the Bar Council’s observer team to the SUHAKAM Public Inquiry on Allegations of Violations of Human Rights on Bersih 2.0.

She competed in the 2 largest moot competitions in the world: the Philip C Jessup International Law Court Competition (Jessup) in 2011 and the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in 2009 and 2010. Her team won 2 Jessup awards: the Alona E. Evans Award for Best Memorial at International Rounds and the Hardy C. Dillard Award for Best Combined Memorials – World & Qualifying Rounds. She was also adjudged the Best Speaker in the Jessup National Round Finals.
