Career

Amir has extensive experience in various areas such as corporate and IT law, compliance, AML and intellectual property. He has worked as an in-house lawyer for a number of companies, consultant at the Big Four, and also has public service experience.

During his tenure, Amir has conducted numerous contract examinations and has accompanied, structured transactions, and provided legal support in transactions involving the acquisition of intellectual property rights, including computer software rights. He has also conducted Due Diligence for various enterprises, advised large local and foreign IT companies on contract and corporate law, and represented their interests in negotiations with governmental authorities. Amir has also accompanied venture deals and advised start-ups.

In addition, Amir has experience with cross-border laws such as FATCA, FCPA, GDPR and has advised foreign banks and pharmaceutical companies on Uzbek legislation. He has also registered trademarks and intellectual property patents on behalf of clients and advised clients on the implementation of compliance programs and internal policies.

Amir holds Bachelor&Master’s degree in International Law from the University of World Economics and Diplomacy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Additionally, he has undergone training in alternative dispute resolution and international arbitration, legal marketing, intellectual property. Amir is listed in the registry of professional mediators of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
