Craig Smith SC – List G Barristers  ‘Craig has a knowledge of trade mark principles and case law that is likely unrivalled in the profession. His advocacy is also excellent. He thinks clearly and this translates into clarity in conveying concepts that are otherwise quite nuanced and complex.

A ‘strong set of IP barristers,‘ and being a ‘pre-eminent list for IP matters in Victoria,’ List G Barristers includes a large number of barristers with strong IP and technology practices, with members including Tom Cordiner KC having experience in areas such as patent and trade mark infringement, and media matters including high profile cases in the social media space. Bruce Caine KC  and Colin Golvan KC are highly rated in the set, as is Craig Smith SC, who appeared in UbiPark Pty Ltd v TMA Capital Australia Pty Ltd, a patent infringement and revocation case relating to technology used to run car parks. Kate Beattie is ‘an exceptionally talented barrister‘ in complex patent disputes and intellectual property litigation, while Peter Creighton-Selvay has appeared in precedent-setting intellectual property cases, both at trial and appellate level.
