Position

Alison is a partner and has worked in probate for over 25 years, and acts for executors and personal representatives – both private individuals and professionals – advising them on all aspects of probate. Her clients are often close family members or friends of a deceased person who have been appointed executor or personal representative. She also acts for professional executors, such as the partners at Moore Blatch.

Alison helps clients obtain the Grant of Representation / Probate to the deceased’s estate. She collates all information about the deceased’s assets and reports to the Inland Revenue where appropriate. She helps enable the deceased’s estate to be distributed as quickly and efficiently as possible either in accordance with the terms of the deceased’s will or under the intestacy rules. She also ensures that all appropriate reliefs and exemptions are claimed.

This can be a difficult time for clients. Alison adopts a sympathetic approach and is understanding and empathetic to her clients’ and their family’s needs.

Previously, Alison has undertaken will drafting, inheritance tax planning, court of protection applications, registering enduring powers of attorney and lasting powers of attorney, as well as estate administration so she has wide ranging experience in dealing with matters related to later life.
