Naeem qualified as a Solicitor in 2003, having always held a deep desire to be a lawyer.  He started his legal career as a caseworker at Liverpool 8 Law Centre.  He subsequently progressed to supervisor and then moved to a reputable legal firm, Lawtons & Co, where he completed his Training Contract, successfully completing this after which he was Admitted to the Roll.

Naeem is a competent and experienced advocate and holds Higher Rights of Audience, enabling him to represent clients in all Tribunals and Court proceeding throughout England and Wales. 

Naeem has always been committed to helping those most vulnerable in society. He has established himself as a successful Immigration and Asylum lawyer and represented countless applicants before the Tribunal successfully. 

Naeem has a well-established client base, including both legal aid, asylum and immigration clients as well as commercial immigration clients.  He has represented many high net worth individuals, charitable organisations and small businesses and has built a wide network of connections in the North West. 

Naeem established Lei Dat & Baig Solicitors in 2006 and under his leadership, the firm has gone from strength to strength each year.  He wasted no time in obtaining prestigious accreditations, including the Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) and subsequently Lexcel since 2014.

Naeem takes personal pride in providing an excellent, caring and secure environment for employees at Lei Dat & Baig.  He takes pride in ensuring that all employees are adequately trained and have all the resources needed to undertake their roles to the best of their abilities.  This was recognised when the firm successfully obtained Investors in People award.

Naeem has a wide range of experience in the legal field.  He is a specialist Immigration, Asylum, Human Rights and Nationality Lawyer.  In addition, he has experience in conveyancing, personal injury, family law, criminal law and civil litigation.  He has successfully obtained accreditations in Immigration and Asylum, Family Law and Conveyancing.  Naeem has represented many small businesses, and this has been recognised by the Lawyers for your Business Accreditation that the firm has obtained.

Naeem has dealt with hundreds of asylum applications, nationality cases, marriage visas, student application, clients in detention including making bail application, complex High Court cases including injunctions, Judicial Review actions on asylum and human rights cases, in particular Article 8 ECHR family life cases and case involving entry clearance applications where there is no right of appeal. 

Naeem has advised many charitable organisations and churches, especially during the Windrush cases.

Naeem has always put forward the highest and strongest legal arguments for the applicants. He has successfully run arguments which have ultimately became established in country guidance cases, most notably during the years following the overthrow of the Gadhafi Regime in Libya.  Following events in the country in 2014, Naeem argued for Humanitarian Protection for clients based on the terrible Civil War. These arguments were successful prior to the promulgation of the Country Guidance cases ZMM by the Upper Tribunal.

Naeem has assisted many clients from war torn countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and Sudan, Syria, Libya, Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Naeem has accepted experience at dealing with Middle Eastern Countries including Iran and also assisting clients making fresh claims for asylum, on the basis of Sur Place activities in the UK. 

Naeem is a very compassionate person by nature, he has always strived to assist vulnerable clients including sufferers of Domestic Violence.  The firm has a close link with Liverpool Domestic Violence Centre and the firm has successfully assisted many applicants to obtain Indefinite Leave to Remain as a result of domestic violence during their relationship.
