Career

Yousra is an advocate registered at the Sudanese Bar Association and trademark agent listed in the Sudanese Trademark Agents Registry. She has years of legal experience in the UAE and Sudan.

She obtained her Bachelor’s in Law from the University of Sharjah, UAE and was one of two honors graduates in her batch. She had studied both the Sudanese and UAE laws and has remarkable academic achievements in both.

Yousra has extensive work experience at law firms and as an in-house counsel. She is well-versed with the requirements and demands of both sides of the legal practice. After years of working at law firms, Yousra joined the world’s biggest outdoor advertising company as an in-house counsel where she was responsible for addressing the company’s legal needs in the UAE as well as for its subsidiaries regionally in the Middle East and North Africa. Yousra’s advice and support to company’s top management as well as its different divisions was always appreciated. Her work included, but was not limited to, entering negotiations on behalf of the company and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts, providing legal support for the company’s participation in public and private tenders, incorporating subsidiaries, advising on corporate governance and legal secretarial issues, providing legal advice to the company on various advertising, IP, HR & employment, IT and criminal matters.

Prior to that, Yousra worked for prominent regional and international law firms handling contentious and non-contentious issues related to intellectual property rights as well as corporate and commercial legal matters.

Yousra is a bilingual lawyer, fluent in Arabic and English and holds qualification in translation from David Game College London.

Her training and experience while working for international companies and law firms enables her to provide exceptional legal advice tailored in accordance with client’s requirements.
