Career
Víctor has maintained a specialized and continuous practice for over 20 years in maritime law, insurance law, commercial law, and general tort law. He consistently acts on behalf of reinsurers, insurance companies, protection and indemnity clubs (P&I Clubs), shipping lines, shipowners, charterers, shipping agencies, brokers, freight forwarders, exporters, importers, in both advisory matters and in the transactional, contracting, and litigation areas.
He has been a guest professor of navigation law at the business school of the University of the Pacific, a guest professor of insurance law at the law school of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, and a guest professor of maritime law at the law school of the International University of Ecuador.

Víctor is a member of the International Maritime Committee.
Education
Víctor graduated in law from the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton (United Kingdom) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia University (New York).
