Career

• Dr. Ezgi Yilmaz  joined the patent attorney and attorneys at law firm BDPE in August 2023.
• Prior to joining BDPE, she worked as a patent engineer at Grünecker, drafting patent applications and oppositions in English and in German, as well as conducting patentability and invalidity searches.
• At BDPE, she is actively involved in patent litigation proceedings in the field of telecommunications, in particular video and audio coding.
• She is a professional representative before the European Patent Office and has been practicing in the field of intellectual property since 2018.
• She gained her experience in the technical fields of automotive engineering, electrical engineering, medical engineering, sports goods and tobacco manufacturing.
• She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science at Istanbul Technical University, after which she completed her joint European Master’s degree in Materials Science at Hamburg Technical University and Aalborg University.
• Ezgi also successfully worked on projects related to materials in electrical engineering such as ferroelectric materials and coating for solar absorbers.
• In her studies, she specialized in her doctorate degree in experimental research of biological tissues, teeth and bones.
