Position

Leading the firm’s Catastrophic Personal Injury Team, Emma has dealt with hundreds of serious brain, orthopaedic and spinal injury claims.

Emma is recognised for her experience in representing clients affected by brain injury and has been Chair of Headway Cambridgeshire, playing a central role in cementing the charity’s future as part of the service provision for head injury survivors in the region.

Supported by an in-house team, Emma is also appointed as a professional Trustee in respect of personal injury trusts. The firm has a specialist trust corporation (the Barr Ellison Trust Corporation Limited) providing long-term support for persons who may lack mental capacity. Emma is a Director of the Barr Ellison Trust Corporation.

Career

Emma is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She is a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and is accredited as a specialist by both the Spinal Injury Association and Headway UK, the Brain Injury Association. Emma became a Partner at Barr Ellison in August 2017 and Managing Partner in August 2019.
