Career

Magdalena is a specialist in the broadly understood labour law and business law – in particular contract law. She also has experience in the area of the construction process.

Magdalena supports HR and purchasing departments of large and medium-sized business entities, mainly in the manufacturing industry (automotive, logistic support industry), with international capital.

She advises on issues related to hiring employees (choice of employment model, determining the scope of the ban on competition), as well as to the termination of employment contracts (individual, group lay-offs, voluntary departure programmes), including senior managers.

She comprehensively develops and advises on policies and other in-house sources of labour law in companies, reviews and negotiates contracts with temporary employment agencies for the provision of recruitment services, for health care services, etc. She has also conducted projects in the field of anti-crisis consulting (acquiring funds to maintain employment / to cover the costs of the current operations), and audits of employment models in capital groups.

Magdalena also participates on an ongoing basis in strategic investment projects, introducing foreign investors to the Polish market. She has successfully conducted negotiations on commencing operations in special economic zones and obtaining zone permits. She has prepared and negotiated numerous civil contracts as well as “design and build” contracts for production plants.

She advises both investors and general contractors on the implementation of construction contracts, including on the joint and several liability of investors for the payment of remuneration to subcontractors, withdrawal from civil contracts and on contractual penalties and other claims related to the construction process.

She is a member of the German Desk team at OW.

Education

A graduate of the University of Wrocław with a degree in Law and International Relations. She also graduated from the School of German Law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and the School of Austrian Law at the University of Salzburg. She participated in the Erasmus programme, within the framework of which she studied at Freie Universität Berlin for one year.
