Head of the Financial Services Regulatory practice in Italy, Jeffrey capitalizes on his international financial regulatory background to assist clients in operating effectively in the evolving European and Italian financial regulatory landscape. Jeffrey interacts daily with financial regulators in developing and interpreting financial regulation. With his real-world experience in the area and his understanding of the whys and wherefores of international financial regulatory developments, Jeffrey proactively guides his clients before new regulations enter into effect. He makes sure that the voice of his clients is heard in developing legislation. And, when necessary, helps clients effectively deal with regulations that may be challenging for them. Jeffrey works for his clients with regulators at the pre-legislation phase, consultation phase and upon implementation, and has also successfully represented clients in modifying problematic provisions of existing legislation. Given his standing in the industry, Jeffrey has been able to offer roundtables for his clients with representatives of all the major financial regulators in Italy. He participated as an invited guest of the European Commission in its private placement workshops in Brussels. Sabrina  Setini
Sabrina Setini
Sabrina Setini is an Italian qualified lawyer with a large experience in advising clients on banking, finance, structured finance, and debt capital markets. Sabrina focuses on advising prominent Italian and international banks and large corporations, financial companies, and investment funds on matters concerning securitization and asset finance, for both performing and distressed assets (including transactions where the Italian State provides a guarantee on the senior rated notes (GACS)). She also deals with securitizations carried out in the context of acquisition transactions as well as sale processes of NPLs. In the debt capital market sector, she constantly advises clients on the issuance of minibonds, corporate and eurobonds, EMTN programmes, basket bonds structures, as well as high yield, equity-linked, and exchangeable notes. Sabrina worked in the legal department of the Renewable Energies Division at the Italian Ministry of Environment, where she gained specific energy law experience. Sabrina gained a Ph.D. in European Private Law and Compared Judicial Systems at the University "Roma TRE" of Rome; and she is fluent in English.
