Position

Kim Van Herck graduated from KU Leuven in 2008 as Master of Laws. During her education, she spent six months studying at the University of Orléans (France) within the context of the Erasmus programme. While still at the university, she already gained a first experience in the legal profession through summer internships in the departments Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and Banking & Finance of some first-rate law firms. Driven by her passion for corporate law, she obtained her degree of Master in Corporate Law at the HU Brussels in 2009.

In 2009, she started her career as a lawyer at the law firm Curia. In 2013, she participated in the creation of intui.

Kim has extensive experience in providing legal assistance to a wide range of transactional cases, more in particular M&A and real estate transactions. Within that scope, she advises on drawing up investment, acquisition and shareholders’ agreements, or regarding the restructuring of companies and associations. She also offers advice on various aspects of corporate and association law and business law in general.

She regularly speaks at seminars on various topics relating to corporate law, among which the reform resulting from the new Companies and Associations Code.

The M&A practice at intui handles cross-border and domestic transactions for corporate clients in a wide array of sectors as well as for a growing number of public and private investment funds. The team maintains a particular focus on assisting with shareholders’ agreements and is bolstered in this approach by the ability to draw on cross-practice litigation and commercial law expertise.
